Joe comes to the cage accompanied by (Ugly kid joe) Everything about you. Walvoord has chosen Eternity as his entrance music. Martijn Walvoord has the better chin. The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walvoord looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Walvoord is looking to chop away at Joe's legs.
Joe looks for the body kick but Walvoord saw that one coming.
Walvoord uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joe.
Joe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Joe tries to land a leg kick but Walvoord saw it coming and moves away.

It looks like Kid Joe has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Joe. Walvoord does a little dance to reset his feet.
Walvoord pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Walvoord. That snapped Joe's head back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Joe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Walvoord tries to bum rush Joe with a series of wild strikes but Joe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Joe lands a jab to the head.
Walvoord connects with a high kick.
Kid Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Joe.
A big left from Walvoord misses.
Walvoord will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walvoord takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Joe misses with a right hand
and Walvoord moves into the clinch.
Joe blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Walvoord comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Joe.

Walvoord tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Joe's elbow.
