Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Uruhara Hatake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAnthony James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uruhara Hatake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, DeAnthony James!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James motions for Hatake to come forward. James throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hatake gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hatake has picked James up - he's going for a ride! Hatake dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Hatake with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hatake uses his free foot to push down on James's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for James.
James holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hatake tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hatake misses with a head shot.
James blocking the ground and pound.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hatake cracks James with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hatake controlling his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hatake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hatake has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Uruhara Hatake.
James scores with a punch to the head.

James tries to sprawl but Hatake drives through with a takedown into half guard.
James wants to control but Hatake is keeping busy.

Hatake postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for James to stand up.
James looks gassed!

James gets tackled into the ropes by Hatake. Hatake maintains the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hatake has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but James regains guard immediately.

Hatake gets to his feet. James looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hatake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hatake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hatake is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hatake extends the arm and James is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Uruhara Hatake!
