Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Montague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Widaca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montague's entrance music is K-Lash-Nekoff - Murder. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Montague! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Widaca! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Widaca dodges the punch combination from Montague.
Montague dives in and grabs Widaca's left leg, looking for a takedown. Widaca pushes down on Montague's head and hops out. Widaca lands with a cross. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Widaca lands a head shot. Widaca loads up on a big right hand but Montague slips the punch. Montague clobbers Widaca with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. John Widaca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Widaca throws a nice looking combination but Montague bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Montague throws a sloppy head kick and Widaca moves out of range easily. Widaca looks to throw the jab but Montague is out of range. Widaca stuffs the takedown attempt from Montague. Montague gets slowly back to his feet. Widaca misses with a few strikes there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Montague wants to clinch up but Widaca keeps it at a distance. Montague looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Widaca is fending him off so far but Montague persists. Nope, Widaca circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Montague. That's going to take a lot out of him. Montague takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Montague throws a jab but it's blocked by Widaca. Montague shoots in looking for a takedown. Widaca tries to sprawl out of it but Montague keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Widaca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Montague tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montague takes a jab right on the kisser.
Widaca throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice sprawl there from Widaca as Montague shoots in. Montague walks into a left hand.
Montague is rocked! A jab from Widaca finds it's way through Montague's defenses. Oh Montague is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Widaca connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Montague covering up! Widaca comes in with a big uppercut and Montague goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Widaca! John Widaca decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
