PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Rabchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Amazing- Kanye West. Sid Singh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Sid Singh!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rabchenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Singh pinned against the cage. Singh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rabchenko enables Singh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rabchenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Singh stands and steps away. Rabchenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rabchenko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rabchenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rabchenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Singh was covering up waiting for the punch and Rabchenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rabchenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Singh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rabchenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rabchenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Singh tries to sprawl out of it but Rabchenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Singh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Singh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Rabchenko has his foot on Singh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Singh works his way back into a safe position though.

Singh shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rabchenko eats them both and turns towards Singh to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Sid Singh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Singh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
