Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Smyth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smyth comes to the cage accompanied by RZA - Fatal. On his way into the cage it seems that Vincent Smyth has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Vincent Smyth seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Smyth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Hudson! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Smyth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hudson misses with a hook
and Smyth counters with a nice uppercut. Smyth misses with a few strikes there.
Hudson throws a right hand that Smyth ducks under and follows up with a left that Smyth also avoids with ease. Hudson throws the left hand but Smyth avoids the punch easily. Hudson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Smyth connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hudson. Hudson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Smyth lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smyth.
It looks like Mike Hudson has been cut. Smyth lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A nice combination there by Hudson.

and Smyth decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hudson's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hudson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smyth's guard. Smyth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hudson manages to get himself to full guard.
Smyth loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Smyth scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hudson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Smyth wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving. Smyth cracks Hudson with a solid left hand. Smyth is in close to Hudson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Smyth sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hudson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Smyth keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hudson's efforts to push away. Smyth manages to break the clinch.
Smyth slips under a jab. Hudson throws a hook to the side of Smyth's head but Smyth sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smyth avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smyth stuns Hudson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Smyth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Smyth closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hudson quickly recovers to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hudson is looking for a sweep. Smyth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Smyth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hudson keeps working. Smyth working the head and body with strikes. Hudson is trying to stand.
Smyth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hudson is defending against the submission attempts here by Smyth.
Hudson is trying to maintain the position but Smyth is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smyth seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Smyth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Smyth winds up and cracks Hudson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Smyth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smyth drops an elbow to the side of Hudson's head. Hudson pushes Smyth off but Smyth dives into side control.
Hudson is pushing Smyth's head away, looking to escape. Smyth manages to hold on to the position though. Smyth is putting a hurting on Hudson here, landing some big shots from side control. Smyth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hudson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hudson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Smyth has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hudson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Smyth connects with a decent elbow.
Hudson is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on Smyth's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hudson is still in real trouble! Can Smyth finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A lull in the action here. A big shot lands for Smyth! That's hurt Hudson! Will he recover? Smyth fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
