Batista is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rapante. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagraves slaps away a takedown attempt from Batista, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Brandon Sagraves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sagraves fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Batista avoids it really well and circles away.

Sagraves could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Batista stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Sagraves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sagraves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Batista is bucking up trying to escape but Sagraves cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
