Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 59 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cottontail Rabbit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Almeida! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Rabbit enables Almeida to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rabbit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Almeida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rabbit is keeping the position for now. Rabbit being controlled here, momentarily. Almeida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rabbit swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roberto Almeida has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Almeida looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Almeida with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Almeida missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Almeida keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rabbit won't allow Almeida to pass to mount. Almeida perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Roberto Almeida hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Almeida fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rabbit to the ground. Almeida is now in Rabbit's guard. Rabbit really is a fat lump.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Almeida is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Almeida lands a couple of digs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rabbit is looking to stand up but Almeida isn't so interested in that idea. Almeida pushes down on Rabbit's leg and manages to get into half guard. Almeida has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Almeida controlling the pace for now. It looks like Almeida might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rabbit gets caught napping as Almeida dives in and scores a takedown. Rabbit manages to retain guard. Almeida stays in close to Rabbit's body and controls the position. Almeida trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Almeida controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Roberto Almeida. Almeida throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rabbit tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Almeida is in Rabbit's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Almeida is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Almeida's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roberto Almeida wasn't active enough on the ground. Almeida shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rabbit is in trouble now - Almeida has advanced to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Almeida takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Almeida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Almeida throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rabbit was covering up waiting for the punch and Almeida finishes the takedown easily into guard. Almeida is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rabbit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rabbit throws a leg kick and Almeida counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Almeida scoring with strikes to the body and head. Almeida keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Almeida has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Roberto Almeida has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Almeida shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rabbit is trying to defend but Almeida finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Almeida passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rabbit! Almeida controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Roberto Almeida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Almeida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
