Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Litran Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kossu comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Diver - Dio. Jones has chosen Hoist the Colours as his entrance music. David Jones acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Litran Kossu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Jones! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jones is looking to chop away at Kossu's legs. Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kossu. Kossu connects with a body shot. Kossu just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kossu scores with a body shot.
Jones blocks a jab. A big right from Jones misses. Kossu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kossu swivels and escapes. Kossu missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kossu throws a combination that misses and Jones counters with an outside leg kick.
Kossu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kossu takes a kick to the side of the head. Kossu ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones misses with an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kossu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kossu somewhat. Jones tries a head kick but it misses.

and Kossu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kossu throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Kossu feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Kossu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kossu trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kossu with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kossu working some strikes from top position. Kossu looking to pass the guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones keeping moving, preventing Kossu from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kossu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kossu pushing down on Jones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jones is trying to control but can't.
Kossu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Kossu is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kossu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kossu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to control Kossu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted? Kossu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Kossu is working for a submission of some sort.

Jones gets full guard. Kossu loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones is trying to control the position but Kossu postures up. Kossu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kossu looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kossu looking for a sweep. Not yet Kossu, not yet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jones working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kossu's head. Jones stops Kossu from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Litran Kossu dominated that round. That's time! Kossu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice sprawl there from Jones as Kossu shoots in. David Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Kossu sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kossu misses with a low kick. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Donk. Jones catches Kossu right on the button with a cross. Kossu throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily. Kossu throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kossu misses the body punch and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kossu.
Kossu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye. A nice leg kick lands there from Jones. Kossu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Litran Kossu is winning the standup battle so far. Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kossu is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kossu avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kossu controlling the position well. Kossu is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kossu defends it well. Jones controlling the action here. The fighters are battling for position here. Kossu manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Kossu has wrist control. Kossu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him. Kossu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones keeping moving, preventing Kossu from controlling successfully. Jones wants to hit a switch here but Kossu passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jones there! Kossu landing shots from mount. Kossu putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones wants to hold on but Kossu pushes him away. Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kossu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.
Litran Kossu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kossu misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Jones slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kossu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well. Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kossu pulls his head out easily. Kossu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kossu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kossu. Kossu stalling away here and it's allowed Jones to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jones controlling the position. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kossu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kossu defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones controlling Kossu's posture. Kossu throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kossu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Litran Kossu will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Kossu connects with a single shot there. Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kossu. Litran Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kossu avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jones connects with a jab. Kossu lands a jab to the nose. Good work by Jones as he checks the leg kick. Kossu moves into range and connects with a jab. Jones throws a head kick but Kossu moves out of range.
Kossu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.
Jones throws a body punch but Kossu moves out of range. Kossu throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kossu checks a leg kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones misses with a looping left. Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Kossu misses with a hook. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jones scores with a jab to the body. Kossu misses with a series of wild punches.
Kossu throws a lazy body kick and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kossu pinned against the cage. Kossu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kossu looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kossu waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Jones will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Kossu lands with a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jones misses the shot to the body. Jones is looking to clinch but Kossu is avoiding it.
Kossu throws a body kick that misses. Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kossu is trying to break the clinch but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kossu is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now. Kossu throws a head punch that misses. Kossu wants to break free but Jones has control.
Jones wants to take the fight to the mat but Kossu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kossu is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks. Kossu has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment. Kossu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Kossu breaks from the clinch.
Kossu misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming. Jones checks a leg kick nicely. Kossu throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it. Jones clinches up with Kossu and pushes him back against the cage. Jones lands an elbow just above Kossu 's eye. Jones blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kossu manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Kossu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though. Kossu throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it. Kossu throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kossu. Kossu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kossu misses with a body shot.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Kossu. Litran Kossu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Jones. Jones lands with a right hand. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kossu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to David Jones. Well Kossu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
