The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Askren. No joy for Giljotin on that attempt.
Askren gets caught flat footed, as Giljotin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Giljotin drops back looking for a leg! Askren is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Askren manages to kick Giljotin off! Giljotin jumps back into Askren's guard.

Giljotin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Askren manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Giljotin has Askren in his guard.
Askren got a little sloppy there for a moment and Giljotin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Askren has managed to get both his arms back between Giljotin's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Askren is sitting in close to Giljotin's body. Giljotin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Askren is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Askren is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Giljotin.
