PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Cabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Boston Terrier is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Cabu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 62 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boston Terrier! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Cabu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabu has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Terrier! Cabu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Terrier in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Terrier has left one of his arms exposed and Cabu doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Terrier screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marcelo Cabu!
