Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Josepha Caron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Phillipe Nover!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nover tries to keep at a distance but Caron has taken the fight into the clinch.
Caron wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nover has him pressed against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nover.
Nover swings wildly with an uppercut but Caron uses good head movement to avoid it.
Caron stalls.
Nover misses with a punch to the body.
Nover stalling in the clinch.
Nover gets through Caron's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Nover has had enough of the clinch but Caron keeps him there for the moment.

Nover goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Caron blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Caron tries to pull guard but Nover forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Nover lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Nover tries to circle away but Caron has him pinned against the cage.
Caron breaks the clinch.
Nover feints a jab promting Caron to slip. Nover then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Caron slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nover looks to land a combination but Caron avoids it well.
No joy there for Nover, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nover stuffs the takedown.
Phillipe Nover is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nover connects with a jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Caron tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Caron takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Caron is rocked!
Caron walks straight into a right hand from Nover - that's dropped him! Nover jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Caron from any more punishment! Caron complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Phillipe Nover!
