Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Millard!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Millard defends it nicely.
Clay Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a right hand that Millard ducks under and follows up with a left that Millard also avoids with ease.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Millard sprawls well. Millard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Millard thows a left - swing and a miss!
Millard misses with a double jab.
Millard doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Millard checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Millard swings away with a body shot that misses
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Millard.
Millard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.

Jones moves in looking to clinch but Millard pushes him off.
Millard jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Millard just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Millard.
Millard dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Millard scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jones doesn't seem bothered though.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Millard.
Millard swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.

Millard clinches up against the cage.

Millard breaks the clinch.
Jones throws a head kick but Millard moves out of range.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Millard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Millard swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Millard misses with a right hand

and Jones counters by moving into the clinch.
Jones wants to take the fight to the mat but Millard manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Millard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing.
Millard stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is working for takedown but Millard is calmly controlling the position for now.

Millard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Millard is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well.

Jones decides to stand up.
Millard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Millard's waist but Millard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Millard lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Millard connects with a single shot there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big right from Millard misses.
Millard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Millard counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Millard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Millard misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Millard dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Millard forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
Millard can't get the takedown.
Millard jumps guard but Jones stands there with Millard around his waist. Millard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones wants to stall.

Jones successfully pulls guard.
Millard trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Millard with a flurry of punches that miss.
Millard wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones controls Millard momentarily but Millard frees himself.
Jones pulls Millard in close to prevent any damage.
Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Clay Jones.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Millard lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Millard connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.
Millard slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones wants to clinch up but Millard keeps it at a distance.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Millard swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Millard just misses with a punch to the body.
Millard getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Millard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Millard keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Bruce Millard seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Millard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Millard drops Jones with a huge uppercut! Jones drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Millard is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruce Millard!
