Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Junior Cavalcante! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddy Wally! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wally fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wally shoots in for a takedown but Cavalcante shows good takedown defense. Cavalcante throws a right and a left that both miss. Wally throws a looping overhand right but Cavalcante ducks down to avoid it. Wally shoots in for a double leg but Cavalcante sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Junior Cavalcante has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddy Wally. Wally looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wally shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cavalcante as he avoids it easily. Wally has a takedown stuffed. Wally throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Junior Cavalcante has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wally slips a jab and a cross from Cavalcante.
A combination from Cavalcante does no damage. Wally shoots for a takedown but Cavalcante saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cavalcante lands with an uppercut that bounces Wally off the cage and back into range. Wally shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Cavalcante counter with a right hand. Wally throws the kick towards the body but Cavalcante avoids it. Wally shoots in for a double leg but Cavalcante sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Eddy Wally seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Cavalcante.

Wally takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cavalcante is looking to score with low kicks. Wally throws a combination that misses and Cavalcante counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Wally! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Cavalcante!
