Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mcnain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anselmo has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! John Mcnain could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phil Anselmo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Mcnain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Anselmo! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcnain misses with a low kick. Mcnain looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Mcnain lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mcnain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Anselmo as he jumps to the side. Mcnain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mcnain shoots in looking for a takedown but Anselmo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcnain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mcnain gets in close and instigates a clinch. Anselmo landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Anselmo creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Anselmo taking a breather. Mcnain looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Mcnain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcnain drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mcnain has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Anselmo regains guard immediately.

Phil Anselmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcnain fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anselmo, pushing him back against the cage.

Anselmo has hold of Mcnain's hands but Mcnain slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mcnain thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Anselmo is trying to stand up here but Mcnain is controlling him well. Mcnain lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Anselmo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mcnain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anselmo is looking to escape. Anselmo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Anselmo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Anselmo avoids the head kick by Mcnain.
Mcnain has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Anselmo. Anselmo thumps Mcnain with a low kick. Mcnain moves into the clinch successfully.

Mcnain has Anselmo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mcnain pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Anselmo tumbling to the mat - Mcnain dives into Anselmo's guard. Anselmo pushes Mcnain off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mcnain changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Anselmo fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Anselmo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mcnain to score with a decent uppercut. A head kick by Anselmo misses and Mcnain counters with a one-two to the body. Anselmo throws a right and a left that Mcnain avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Mcnain or perhaps it was just good defense by Anselmo which made him look bad. Anselmo takes a kick to the side of the head. Anselmo tries to clinch up but Mcnain circles away and keeps his distance. Anselmo drives through and clinches with Mcnain against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Mcnain will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Anselmo utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Anselmo pushes off an throws an elbow but Mcnain leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Anselmo tries to land knees in the clinch but Mcnain avoids the damage to the body. Mcnain avoids the elbow strike from Anselmo, against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcnain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anselmo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Anselmo wants to stand but Mcnain is controlling the position. Mcnain trying to control but Anselmo is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Mcnain just wasn't active enough. Mcnain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. You get the feeling that Anselmo really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Anselmo is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Phil Anselmo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mcnain looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! John Mcnain showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcnain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
