And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Salem Nickleback!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poldi throws a shot from downtown. Nickleback moves away and avoids it.
Nickleback gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Salem Nickleback has been cut.
Poldi slips under a jab.
Poldi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nickleback takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Poldi checks a leg kick.
Poldi drops Nickleback with a beautiful combination! Nickleback stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Poldi is looking for the KO!
Poldi drops Nickleback with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nickleback looks back up at him and smiles so Poldi waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Poldi cracks Nickleback with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Poldi has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nickleback to stand back up!
Nickleback is rocked!
Salem Nickleback seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nickleback misses with a looping right.
Nickleback takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nickleback throws a body punch but Poldi moves out of range.
Nickleback with a poor takedown
and Poldi counters with a nice uppercut.
A shot to the liver by Poldi. Beautiful body shot.
Nickleback misses with a right hand
and Poldi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nickleback! Poldi lets Nickleback back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Nickleback is still on wobbly legs! Can Poldi finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poldi drops Nickleback with a straight right hand, right on the button! Poldi follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Poldi!
Jack Poldi took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
