Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nixon Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benjamin Bjj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nixon Red!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bjj sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bjj is defended easily by Red.
Bjj fails to land the takedown.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Red looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Red lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Bjj looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Bjj. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bjj throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Red misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bjj tries to score a power double leg takedown but Red sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bjj somewhat.
Bjj fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Red avoids it really well and circles away.
Bjj pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Red looks for the body kick but Bjj saw that one coming.
Red throws a head kick but Bjj moves out of range.

Nixon Red is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bjj drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Red pushes Bjj away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bjj gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bjj is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Red has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bjj goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Red rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bjj's guard! Nice work there by Red!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Red tries to stand but Bjj is controlling from the bottom.

Bjj looking for a guillotine here but Red defends easily.
Red stays in close to Bjj's body and controls the position.

Bjj has his foot on Red's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Red works his way back into a safe position though.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Red got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bjj has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Red has managed to get both his arms back between Bjj's legs - danger averted.

Red tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Red can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bjj is looking to escape.

Red tries to control but Bjj wriggling away.
Bjj tries to reverse the position but Red maintains control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bjj sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Red really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bjj. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Red tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bjj controls his leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nixon Red.
Red throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Benjamin Bjj will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bjj is trying to drag Red to the mat but Red just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

enabling Red to counter with a crisp jab.

Bjj tries to pull guard but Red won't allow it.
Bjj is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Red pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Red throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Red misses with the combination.
Red lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bjj will feel that in the morning.
Bjj fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Red avoids it really well and circles away.
Bjj shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Red defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown by Bjj or perhaps it was just good defense by Red which made him look bad.

Red lands a nice shot that snaps Bjj's head back.

and Red counters with a head kick. That will keep Bjj thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Donk. Red catches Bjj right on the button with a cross.
Bjj dives in and grabs Red's left leg, looking for a takedown. Red pushes down on Bjj's head and hops out.
Good standup being displayed there by Red as he connects with a hook.
Nice takedown defense from Red. No joy for Bjj on that attempt.
Bjj shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Red has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Red bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bjj's head.

Red moves into the clinch.
Red has Bjj pressed against the cage, preventing Bjj from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Red prevents the takedown attempt.

Bjj tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Red smiles and moves away.
Red throws a series of punches but Bjj avoids them all with ease.
Red throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bjj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bjj will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Red breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bjj tries to move into range but Red moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Red closes the distance and pushes Bjj back into the cage.
Nixon Red seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Nixon Red showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bjj changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Red tries to avoid it but Bjj manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Red to the ground. Red escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bjj closes the distance and clinches up with Red, looking for a takedown. Bjj pushes Red against the cage but Red circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nixon Red seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bjj walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Red scores with a kick to the body.
Bjj closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bjj walks forward, straight into a front kick from Red.
Bjj takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Red throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Red scores with a punch to the head.
Red lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Red.
Red lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bjj takes a swing at Red's ribcage but misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
