Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kivi Kasvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Corpus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kasvo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Danzig Mother. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasvo misses with a takedown attempt - Corpus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Corpus cracks Kasvo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kasvo tries to close the distance and clinch but Corpus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Corpus looks to land a left hand but Kasvo moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Corpus throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Corpus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Corpus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kasvo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Corpus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kasvo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Corpus.
A punch lands to the side of Kasvo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kasvo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Corpus thuds a left hand into Kasvo's body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kasvo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Corpus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kasvo. That did some damage!
Corpus throws a looping overhand right but Kasvo ducks down to avoid it.
John Corpus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Corpus throws a series of strikes that have Kasvo backpedaling.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kasvo tries to clinch there but Corpus circles away.
Corpus connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Kasvo covering up! Corpus comes in with a big uppercut and Kasvo goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
