Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre De La Rosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andre De La Rosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Grant! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De La Rosa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Grant counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. De La Rosa is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De La Rosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Grant throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De La Rosa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Grant is working De La Rosa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. De La Rosa looking for a sweep. Not yet De La Rosa, not yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! De La Rosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. De La Rosa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. De La Rosa throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
De La Rosa controls Grant momentarily but Grant frees himself. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grant tries to free his leg and advance position but De La Rosa is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant throws a big elbow that misses. Grant got a little sloppy there for a moment and De La Rosa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grant has managed to get both his arms back between De La Rosa's legs - danger averted. De La Rosa is trying to keep Grant in close.
De La Rosa wants to sweep but no luck. Grant postures up in De La Rosa's guard and throws a big left but De La Rosa blocks it. Grant throwing strikes but missing. Grant throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Grant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
De La Rosa has momentary wrist control but Grant slips an elbow through the middle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Grant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
De La Rosa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De La Rosa keeping moving, preventing Grant from controlling successfully. Grant looking to pass the guard. Grant is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Grant stands up over De La Rosa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Grant slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. De La Rosa lands a couple of sideways elbows. De La Rosa wants to improve his position but Grant is controlling well.
Grant lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Grant trying to mount his opponent but De La Rosa defends it. De La Rosa actively working from the bottom here. Grant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De La Rosa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Grant seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant moves nicely into side control. Grant wants to control but De La Rosa is keeping him busy. De La Rosa is trying to control Grant's posture but Grant avoids it. Grant looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Grant has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. De La Rosa tries to buck Grant off but Grant is having none of it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grant in side control, throwing shots but De La Rosa defends. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grant lands a decent elbow from side control. Grant tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grant has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! De La Rosa throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Grant dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
De La Rosa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and De La Rosa duly obliges. Grant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De La Rosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Grant scoring with punches and elbows. Grant tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grant has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Grant tries to score with some ground and pound. De La Rosa controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. You can see the frustration on De La Rosa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Grant is putting a hurting on De La Rosa here, landing some big shots from side control. Grant working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. De La Rosa is positioning himself to get back to half guard. De La Rosa is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grant is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. De La Rosa tries to roll over but Grant keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. De La Rosa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Grant pulls his head out easily. De La Rosa is not content to let Grant control the position. De La Rosa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Grant. De La Rosa trying to control from the bottom.
Nice strikes from Grant there. De La Rosa is defending against the submission attempts here by Grant.
Grant is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Grant missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant working the head and body with strikes. Grant takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. De La Rosa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grant is working away from the top position though. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Grant scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Grant is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. De La Rosa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Grant. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grant not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Grant is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De La Rosa is just riding it out for now. Grant eventually gives up the hold. De La Rosa controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant drops an elbow to the side of De La Rosa's head. De La Rosa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. De La Rosa pushes a forearm under Grant's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Grant is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
