Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bader Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar Bjj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bader Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spar Bjj! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Bjj misses the target. Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bjj counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bjj chips away with some ground and pound. Bjj wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bjj accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bjj trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Bjj tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom. Bjj throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bjj seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bjj is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bjj working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to pass the guard. Bjj looking to control.
Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Bjj is retaining full guard. Jones works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bjj is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to pass to full mount but Bjj defends it. Jones prevents Bjj from standing back up.

Bjj is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard. Jones is looking to advance position but Bjj won't allow it. Bjj misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bjj wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bjj! Jones trying to control but Bjj is having none of it. Bjj is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Bjj is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Bjj tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bjj is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Jones is staying active. Jones wants to control the pace but Bjj is squirming around nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones is really struggling to control Bjj but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Spar Bjj dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bjj shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bjj content just to control the position here. Jones is in a horrible position here. Bjj smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Bjj moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jones has worked his arm free - good work by Jones!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones struggling a bit here. Bjj remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jones defending against the ground and pound. Bjj taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Bjj. Bjj throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Bjj works to advance to full mount. Jones defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jones blocking the ground and pound. Bjj looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bjj goes for an armbar but Jones turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jones. Jones wants to control from the top but Bjj keeps moving. Bjj is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bjj looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bjj looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bjj! Bjj controls the position from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bjj decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bjj is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Spar Bjj showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Bjj tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bjj closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jones's guard. Bjj passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bjj's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bjj in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bjj lands a couple of digs. Bjj is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Spar Bjj has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones keeping moving, preventing Bjj from controlling successfully. Bjj pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Bjj postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bjj throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bjj bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Bjj trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Bjj is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Bjj sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones keeping moving, preventing Bjj from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spar Bjj. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Bjj counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bjj tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jones controls his leg. Bjj not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bjj lands a nice short elbow. Bjj looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bjj is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! Spar Bjj comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bjj has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
