Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Wood misses.
Wood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uzala moves away.
Uzala takes one to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Wood throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A punch combination from Wood misses.
Wood throws the left hand but Uzala avoids the punch easily.
Wood looks to land a combination but Uzala avoids it well.
Wood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Uzala avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nice defenses there by Uzala.
A big left from Wood misses.
Wood throws a good cross that connects.
Uzala slips a jab and a cross from Wood.
Wood throws a hook to the side of Uzala's head but Uzala sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wood takes a swing at Uzala's ribcage but misses.
Hade Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wood throws a series of punches but Uzala moves out of range.
Wood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Uzala misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wood cracks Uzala with a right hand to the side of the head.
Wood connects with a looping right hand.
Uzala bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wood scores with a sloppy right hand. Uzala should have avoided that one.
Uzala is rocked!
A decent looking cross lands there for Wood.
Uzala is still on wobbly legs! Can Wood finish him?

Wood tries to bum rush Uzala with a series of wild strikes but Uzala uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wood lands with a big left! Uzala is wobbled badly! Wood comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Uzala to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hade Wood!
