And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mitka Boycheck!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boycheck blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Jackson connects with a leg kick. Boycheck looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Boycheck moves out of range easily.
Jackson cracks Boycheck with a right hand to the side of the head.


It looks like Mitka Boycheck has been cut.
Jackson scores with a kick to the body.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jackson throws a front kick aimed at Boycheck's knee but Boycheck avoids it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boycheck closes the distance but Jackson moves to the side
and Jackson counters with a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Jackson.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Boycheck.
Jackson throws a quick inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson connects with a looping right hand.
Boycheck takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
An inside leg kick lands from Jackson.
Boycheck tries to clinch but Jackson moves out of range.
Boycheck moves out of range of the body kick.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson scores with a jab. Boycheck acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jackson lands a big right hand that sends Boycheck crashing to the mat! Jackson stays standing though and waves Boycheck back to his feet!


Boycheck is rocked!
Johnny Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boycheck avoids the head kick by Jackson.
Boycheck is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?

Boycheck has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boycheck jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Boycheck around his waist. Boycheck gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boycheck jumps guard but Jackson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Boycheck seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson lands a nice uppercut.


That has opened up Mitka Boycheck's cut even more.
Jackson tries to circle away but Boycheck has him pinned against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boycheck fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnny Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mitka Boycheck.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boycheck lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Jackson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Boycheck darts in trying to clinch

and Jackson counters with a head kick that drops Boycheck to the mat! Boycheck scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Jackson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Boycheck buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jackson lands a jab.
Jackson throws a head kick but Boycheck moves out of range.
Boycheck tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A head kick by Jackson misses

and Boycheck counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jackson!
Boycheck thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Boycheck looking to finish Jackson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jackson!

Boycheck is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackson!

Boycheck is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boycheck is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

Boycheck looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Boycheck pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mitka Boycheck!
Mitka Boycheck opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
