Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lancett Cridle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Strummer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cridle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Counterfeit by Limp Bizkit. Lancett Cridle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joe Strummer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lancett Cridle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Strummer! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cridle gets the takedown into side control. Cridle tries for a kimura but Strummer is defending well. Cridle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strummer, who protects the arm well. Strummer struggling a bit here. Strummer sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Strummer trying to control but Cridle postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cridle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Strummer tries to get to full guard but Cridle has control of the leg. Cridle is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are battling for position here. Strummer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strummer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cridle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Strummer is looking for a triangle but Cridle pushes his legs off easily.
Strummer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Strummer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cridle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Strummer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cridle's back instead. Cridle defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Strummer looks gassed! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Strummer doesn't have the hooks in and Cridle manages to turn into his guard.
Cridle tries to free his leg and advance position but Strummer is retaining full guard. Cridle pushes down on Strummer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cridle tries to pass to full mount but Strummer defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strummer actively working from the bottom here. Cridle is looking for a kimura here.
Cridle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Strummer looking for submissions off his back. Cridle wants to work for an arm triangle but Strummer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Strummer manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cridle stopping the sweep attempt from Strummer. Cridle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Strummer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cridle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Strummer's guard. Cridle is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cridle is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Strummer is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cridle pulls his head out easily. Strummer won't allow Cridle to pass to mount. Cridle is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Strummer manages to get to full guard.
Cridle drops back looking for a leg! Strummer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Strummer manages to kick Cridle off! Cridle jumps back into Strummer's guard. Strummer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Strummer takes the fight into the clinch. Strummer wants the takedown. Cridle is fighting it off but Strummer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cridle's guard against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joe Strummer will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cridle gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Strummer passes Cridle's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cridle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Cridle gets full guard. Cridle can't keep his opponent in guard - Strummer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cridle wants to improve his position but Strummer is controlling well.
Strummer wants to take a breather but Cridle is having none of it. Strummer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Strummer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cridle is looking for a triangle but Strummer pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strummer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Cridle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cridle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Strummer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Strummer stands and throws Cridle's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cridle regains half guard there - taking advantage of Strummer's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Cridle is staying active underneath Strummer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cridle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cridle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strummer trying to control but Cridle is working from the bottom. Strummer wants to pass the guard but Cridle is keeping the position. Cridle working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Strummer. Cridle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Strummer tries to free his leg and advance position but Cridle is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cridle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cridle seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Strummer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
