Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ilan Rotberg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Murth! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rotberg scores a takedown into full mount! Murth is trying to escape the mount.
Rotberg looking to control but Murth is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rotberg lands a nice shot to the head. Murth wants to hold on but Rotberg pushes him away. Rotberg wants to control the pace but Murth is squirming around nicely. Rotberg thowing shots but they're missing. Murth tries to reverse the position but Rotberg maintains control. Murth bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rotberg holds on and takes a little breather. Rotberg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Murth is one step ahead there. Murth with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rotberg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Murth won't allow Rotberg to sweep him here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Murth's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rotberg wants to sweep here but Murth controlling him for the moment. Rotberg is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rotberg wants to sweep here but Murth controlling him for the moment. Murth trying to control the position from guard on top but Rotberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rotberg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rotberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murth's guard. Murth is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Murth passes to full mount! Murth scoring with strikes but Rotberg is staying in there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Murth pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rotberg tries to reverse the position but Murth maintains control. Murth wants to control the action but instead Rotberg gets a body lock and reverses into Murth's guard! Nice work! Rotberg tries to free his leg and advance position but Murth is retaining full guard. Murth has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Murth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rotberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Murth had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rotberg defends it easily. Rotberg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Murth keeping moving, preventing Rotberg from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rotberg thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rotberg trying to control the position from guard on top but Murth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murth utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Murth isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rotberg stacks Murth on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rotberg! Murth sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Murth looking for submissions off his back. Rotberg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rotberg is keen to just control but Murth is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotberg stalling away here and it's allowed Murth to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Rotberg trying to control the position from guard on top but Murth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murth is looking for a triangle but Rotberg pushes his legs off easily.

Rotberg stopping the sweep attempt from Murth. Murth has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rotberg should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Murth has tightened it up now! Rotberg should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
