Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Frazier!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frazier throws a series of punches but Steggman avoids them all with ease.
Frazier misses with a wild body shot.

Frazier looks to land a combination but Steggman avoids it well.
Steggman shoots for a takedown but Frazier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jimmy Frazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frazier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Steggman wants to hold on but Frazier pushes him away.

Steggman seems a little lost for a moment, as Frazier dominates the positioning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steggman tries to roll over but Frazier keeps him under control.
Frazier working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frazier tries to pass the half guard into mount. Steggman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Steggman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Frazier's guard.
Frazier is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Steggman is fighting to break Frazier's control of his arms but Frazier is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Steggman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Frazier is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frazier can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Steggman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Frazier counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Steggman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steggman dodges the punch combination from Frazier.
Frazier pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Frazier dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Well, if Frazier is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Frazier is looking to advance position but Steggman won't allow it.

Steggman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Frazier controls the pace.

Steggman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steggman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Frazier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Frazier is pushing down on Steggman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steggman is fighting to maintain full guard but Frazier has managed to sneak the leg through.
Steggman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Frazier's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Frazier's back!
Frazier turns into Steggman and is now in his guard.
Frazier wants to control from the top but Steggman keeps moving.

Steggman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frazier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Steggman is tightening it up a little... Frazier has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Frazier reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Frazier taps out! nice BJJ there by Steggman!
