The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Booker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Booker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hall turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hall manages to end up in side control.
Booker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hall throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Booker won't allow Hall to pass to mount.
Booker gets back to full guard.

Booker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Booker has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hall has passed into side control.
Booker can't do much from the bottom here.

Hall postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Booker is trying to control Hall's posture but Hall avoids it.
Hall works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Booker is looking to regain half guard here but Hall keeps moving and retains side control.
Hall cracks Booker with a big right hand but Booker just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Booker can't do much from the bottom here.
Booker tries to bench press Hall off him but Hall keeps the position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Booker struggling a bit here.
Hall looks up at the clock and then as Booker takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hall smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Booker can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hall lands a few punches from side control.
Booker wants to control but Hall postures up.
Hall trying to control the action but Booker is working from the bottom.

Booker gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hall working over Booker with some ground and pound. Booker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Booker looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Hall pushes past his half guard into mount!
Hall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Booker is looking to escape.
Booker is trying desperately to improve position.

Hall lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Booker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hall avoids the attempt from Booker to control.
Hall cracks Booker with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
