2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Derek Hurley! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.

Kennedy eventually gives up the hold. Hurley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kennedy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kennedy looking to secure an arm triangle but Hurley defends it well. Derek Hurley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hurley defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kennedy. Kennedy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hurley is now in Kennedy's guard. Derek Hurley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kennedy slips a straight right by Hurley. Kennedy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hurley was well out of range. Poor timing from Kennedy. Dan Kennedy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hurley throws a right hand that Kennedy ducks under and follows up with a left that Kennedy also avoids with ease. Hurley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kennedy with a poor takedown and Hurley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hurley misses with a double jab.
