The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivero avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ruud is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rivero's half guard.

Lucian Rivero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ruud doesn't manage to clinch there - Rivero circles away.
Ruud shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rivero as he avoids it easily.

Rivero throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ruud.
Ruud throws a right hand that Rivero ducks under and follows up with a left that Rivero also avoids with ease.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Rivero takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ruud fails to land with a series of punches.
Ruud on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Ruud instigates a clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Ruud's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rivero gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ruud.
Ruud is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rivero to keep the fight standing.
Rivero is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ruud is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rivero to the mat. Rivero regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ruud gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Rivero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Ruud tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rivero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ruud changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivero tries to avoid it but Ruud manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivero to the ground. Rivero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ruud wants to clinch.
Ruud shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rivero but Rivero pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rivero.
And that's the end of the fight!
Lars Ruud showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ruud has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lars Ruud decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
