Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mikhael Volkoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCool has chosen I'm Shipping Up to Boston as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Mikhael Volkoff has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mikhael Volkoff seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Volkoff.
Volkoff misses with a few strikes there.
McCool tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Volkoff swivels and escapes.
Volkoff scores with a crisp jab that stopped McCool in his tracks.
Nice defenses there by Volkoff.
Volkoff scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Volkoff feints and then cracks McCool's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McCool down.
McCool misses with a left hand
and Volkoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A right-left combo lands from Volkoff.
Mikhael Volkoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCool takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

McCool is rocked!
Volkoff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Volkoff wants it to stay on the feet.
McCool is still on wobbly legs! Can Volkoff finish him?

Oooooh!!! Volkoff has knocked McCool down with a huge combo! Volkoff steps away and waves a wobbly McCool back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

McCool closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McCool lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

McCool is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Volkoff sees it coming and defends easily.

McCool is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
McCool seems to have recovered his senses.
Volkoff keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

McCool seems to be looking for submissions.
Volkoff makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Volkoff.

Volkoff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCool can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Volkoff seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Volkoff wants to stand but McCool is controlling the position.

McCool has gone for a leg lock! Volkoff slips out almost immediately though and dives into McCool's guard.

McCool isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Volkoff stacks McCool on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Volkoff!

Volkoff is putting a hurting on McCool here, landing some big shots from side control.

McCool is desperately trying to improve his position but Volkoff has a good base and remains in mount.

McCool tries to reverse the position but Volkoff maintains control.

McCool sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

McCool looks to score with a jab to the body but Volkoff is just out of range.

A jab lands there for Volkoff.
McCool fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McCool throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McCool keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Volkoff.
McCool throws a hook but Volkoff avoids it easily.
McCool takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Volkoff lands a front kick.
Volkoff lands a nice leg kick that just misses McCool's sensitive parts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters circle momentarily. Volkoff darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That kick from Volkoff tenderised McCool's leg. McCool is trying to keep his angry face on.
McCool is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Volkoff.
McCool tries for a takedown but Volkoff sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Volkoff lands a really nice looking cross but McCool seems unphased.

Volkoff digs a good body shot into McCool's ribs.

Volkoff lands a left and a right that send McCool crashing to the mat, dazed. Volkoff thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Volkoff fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops McCool to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! McCool looks to clinch but Volkoff throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! McCool taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
