Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andersonnen Chailva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makonouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ippo Makonouchi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andersonnen Chailva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ippo Makonouchi! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makonouchi tries for a takedown but Chailva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Makonouchi misses with a takedown attempt - Chailva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Makonouchi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chailva swats him away and circles back towards the center. Makonouchi misses with a takedown attempt and Chailva counters with a thumping low kick. Andersonnen Chailva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ippo Makonouchi. Makonouchi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chailva circles away. Chailva misses with a double jab
and Makonouchi counters with a stiff right hand. Chailva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chailva stands up and beckons Makonouchi to his feet. Makonouchi misses with a wild combination.
Chailva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Makonouchi quickly recovers to half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Makonouchi tries to roll over but Chailva keeps him under control. Makonouchi tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Chailva manages to move to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Chailva is standing up, even though he is in mount. Chailva scores with a kick to the midsection. Makonouchi tries to clinch there but Chailva circles away.
Makonouchi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Makonouchi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fighters circling - Chailva throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Chailva throws a combination that misses letting Makonouchi counter with a right hand. Makonouchi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chailva sprawls well. Chailva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Makonouchi gets slowly back to his feet. Chailva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Andersonnen Chailva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chailva lands with a nice combination. Makonouchi backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Ippo Makonouchi has been cut. Chailva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chailva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Makonouchi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chailva circles away. Chailva looks to land a combination but Makonouchi avoids it well. Makonouchi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Makonouchi wants to clinch but Chailva slips to the side and Chailva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Makonouchi's guard. Chailva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Makonouchi, up you get! Nice sprawl there from Chailva as Makonouchi shoots in. Makonouchi looks gassed! Chailva throws a right hand that Makonouchi ducks under and follows up with a left that Makonouchi also avoids with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makonouchi tries to clinch up and Chailva counters with a series of strikes. Makonouchi will be more careful next time no doubt. Chailva connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Makonouchi's hands. Chailva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Makonouchi counters with a two punch combo. Makonouchi shoots in for a takedown but Chailva shows good takedown defense. Chailva throws a half hearted mid kick. Chailva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chailva works over Makonouchi's head and body with a nice combination.
Makonouchi is rocked! Chailva throws a nice looking combination but Makonouchi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Makonouchi is still on wobbly legs! Can Chailva finish him? Chailva shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Makonouchi is on queer street and Chailva is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Andersonnen Chailva! Andersonnen Chailva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
