Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Bird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly stalks Bird and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bird's face. Bird staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Steven Bird has been cut.
Bird drops his hands momentarily and Kelly takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kelly plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bird wants to clinch.
Kelly lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Bird tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Bird.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kelly moves out of range of the strikes.
A jab lands there for Kelly.
Bird throws a head kick that misses.
Kelly blocks a head kick by Bird.
Kelly lands a nice shot to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bird.
Bird pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bird throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Kelly to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kelly misses with a series of wild punches.
Kelly feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Birds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bird throws a leg kick that is checked
and Kelly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bird gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Kelly to counter with a crisp jab.
Kelly lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Bird is rocked!
Kelly lands a jab to Bird's midsection.
Oh Bird is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bird is breathing heavily.
Bird looks to throw a body kick
and Kelly counters with a big right hand! Oh Bird is in trouble here! Kelly follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Kelly!
A determined James Kelly didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
