4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Desbatailles ! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Desbatailles bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Desbatailles feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fair's calf. Desbatailles throws a jab when Fair was well out of range. Desbatailles misses with a body shot.
Fair shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Desbatailles sprawls well. Desbatailles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fair gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick misses from Desbatailles . Desbatailles scores with a leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Desbatailles , right into the meat.
Fair takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Fair checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Fair moves out of range of the body kick.

Desbatailles lands a front kick. Desbatailles does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Desbatailles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Fair. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fair fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Desbatailles avoids it really well and circles away. Good work by Fair as he checks the leg kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Desbatailles tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. John Desbatailles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fair is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fair avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Desbatailles trying to control but Fair is working from the bottom. Desbatailles landing with the ground and pound. Desbatailles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Desbatailles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Desbatailles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Desbatailles throws an elbow that misses. Fair uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Desbatailles 's guard. Nice move by Fair! Desbatailles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Desbatailles keeping moving, preventing Fair from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fair looking to sit in guard and control but Desbatailles gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Fair utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Fair looking for a guillotine here but Desbatailles defends easily.
Desbatailles wants to control from the top but Fair keeps moving. John Desbatailles is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fair had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Desbatailles defends it easily. Desbatailles wants to control from the top but Fair keeps moving. Zack Fair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Desbatailles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Desbatailles with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to John Desbatailles . I've got Desbatailles winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
