Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diller Bertrand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Strath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Strath is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Parallel Universe. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diller Bertrand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Strath! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strath closes the distance looking to clinch and Bertrand counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Richie Strath has been cut. Strath throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bertrand's waist but Bertrand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strath off to one side. Strath shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bertrand but Bertrand pushes him off and we're back to square one. Strath looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bertrand is fending him off so far but Strath persists. Nope, Bertrand circles away and we're back to standing. Diller Bertrand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Strath. Strath tries to clinch but Bertrand is having none of it. Bertrand gets the takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strath is not content to let Bertrand control the position. Bertrand tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bertrand has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bertrand is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Strath has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bertrand tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bertrand is trying to get an arm triangle but Strath is defending well. Strath is looking for a sweep. Strath manages to get back to half guard. Bertrand works his foot free and advances to mount. Bertrand jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Strath is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Strath and Bertrand has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bertrand wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Strath, who protects the arm well. Strath can't do much from the bottom here. Bertrand swings around for an armbar but Strath sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bertrand's guard. Bertrand is breathing heavily. Strath slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bertrand tries to buck Strath off but Strath is having none of it. Strath scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bertrand tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bertrand is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Strath is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Bertrand taking shots to the head. Strath can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bertrand is looking to escape. Strath has control of Bertrand's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bertrand regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bertrand knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strath on the ground. Strath avoids the attempt from Bertrand to control. Strath scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bertrand?
Strath tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bertrand is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bertrand tries to reverse the position but Strath maintains control. Strath lands a heavy elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bertrand is looking to improve his position but Strath isn't that keen on the idea. Strath trying to control but Bertrand is having none of it. Strath wants to finish this one by submission but Bertrand is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Strath. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strath looking to control but Bertrand is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diller Bertrand will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Richie Strath's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bertrand keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bertrand displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Strath. Diller Bertrand is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bertrand gets caught flat footed, as Strath shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Strath wants to control from the top but Bertrand keeps moving. Bertrand has his foot on Strath's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strath works his way back into a safe position though. Bertrand is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Strath is aware though and is defending well. Strath wants to pass the guard but Bertrand is keeping the position. Bertrand throws his legs up looking for a submission but Strath uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bertrand looking for a sweep but Strath has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Strath punishing his opponent with strikes. Strath tries to control but Bertrand wriggling away. Bertrand wants to hold on but Strath pushes him away. Strath working Bertrand over with strikes here. Strath prevents Bertrand from getting the reversal. Strath is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bertrand is surviving well by controlling Strath's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bertrand is in all sorts of trouble here.

Bertrand is bucking up trying to escape but Strath cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Strath working the ground and pound effectively.
Bertrand is desperately trying to improve his position but Strath has a good base and remains in mount. Strath controlling from the full mount. Strath looking to control but Bertrand is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Strath postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bertrand looks a forlorn figure.
BOOM! Strath connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bertrand tries to reverse the position but Strath maintains control. Strath has hold of Bertrand's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bertrand manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bertrand is looking to improve his position but Strath isn't that keen on the idea. Bertrand is squirming around, avoiding Strath's attempts to control the action. Strath with the ground and pound from mount. Strath looking to secure an arm triangle but Bertrand defends it well. Strath has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strath is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bertrand to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bertrand shrugs it off. Strath looking to secure an arm triangle but Bertrand defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richie Strath showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Richie Strath's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Diller Bertrand! A less than humble Diller Bertrand misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
