Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rogan Botch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakub Ostruzik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ostruzik has chosen Immediate Music - Imperitum as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rogan Botch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jakub Ostruzik!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Botch walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ostruzik shoots in for a double leg but Botch sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ostruzik checks a low kick from Botch.
Ostruzik throws a right hand that Botch ducks under and follows up with a left that Botch also avoids with ease.

Botch has Ostruzik up against the cage in a clinch.

Ostruzik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Botch clinches.

Botch is trying to trip Ostruzik. He has hold of a leg but Ostruzik is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Botch persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Botch throws a strike but Ostruzik rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Botch throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ostruzik missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ostruzik with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ostruzik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Botch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Botch is pulling down on Ostruzik's head to control his posture.
Botch keeping moving, preventing Ostruzik from controlling successfully.

Botch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ostruzik wants to improve his position but Botch is controlling well.

Botch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Botch is standing up over Ostruzik. Ostruzik looks to escape but Botch dives into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ostruzik can do anything to dispel that myth.

Botch stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ostruzik throws a right and a left that Botch avoids nicely.
Botch ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Botch instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ostruzik has Botch pressed against the cage, preventing Botch from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ostruzik is trying to push Botch away but Botch has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Ostruzik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ostruzik avoids the head kick by Botch.
Ostruzik tries to bum rush Botch with a series of wild strikes but Botch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ostruzik looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Botch gets a takedown into half guard.
Ostruzik is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Botch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Botch is thwarting Ostruzik's attempts to control the position.

Botch is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Botch is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ostruzik has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ostruzik tries to roll over but Botch keeps him under control.
Botch trying to control the action but Ostruzik is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Botch missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

and Botch counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Botch manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ostruzik on his heels. He'll look to pass Ostruzik's guard now, I'm sure.
Rogan Botch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Botch wants to get up but he can't break Ostruzik's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ostruzik controls Botch momentarily but Botch frees himself.
Ostruzik has a closed guard, preventing Botch from standing up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Botch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Botch has taken the fight to the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ostruzik tries to get to full guard but Botch has control of the leg.
Ostruzik is not content to let Botch control the position.

Botch is really struggling to control Ostruzik but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ostruzik tries to roll over but Botch keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rogan Botch.
A big left from Ostruzik misses.

Botch drives through with a takedown into Ostruzik's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Botch is fighting to break Ostruzik's control of his arms but Ostruzik is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ostruzik pushes Botch away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Botch gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Botch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ostruzik's guard.
Ostruzik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Botch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ostruzik swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Botch drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ostruzik dives on top into guard.

Botch has Ostruzik pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Botch pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ostruzik tumbling to the mat - Botch dives into Ostruzik's guard.

Botch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ostruzik sees it coming and defends easily.
Ostruzik wants to sweep but Botch has passed to side control!
Ostruzik parries the strikes from Botch easily there. Botch is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ostruzik to escape.

Ostruzik is not content to let Botch control the position.
Ostruzik is trying to get back to half guard.
Jakub Ostruzik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ostruzik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ostruzik tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Botch presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ostruzik avoids a series of strikes thrown by Botch.

Well Botch has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
