Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Manchester!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manchester misses with a body kick.
D shoots in and drives through. Manchester sprawls well.
Manchester tries to clinch up.
D shoots for a takedown but Manchester saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Manchester connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between D's hands.
D avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Manchester connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Manchester lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
D blocks a leg kick.
D fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan D. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and D counters with a nice double leg into side control. Manchester won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Manchester parries the strikes from D easily there. D is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Manchester to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manchester tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but D wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

D wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manchester keeps working.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as D accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Manchester was stalling too much, according to the referee.
D takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

D tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manchester sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten D somewhat.

Manchester tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but D was well out of range. Poor timing from Manchester.

D shoots in for a double leg but Manchester sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Manchester scores with a jab. D acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

D shoots in looking for a takedown. Manchester tries to sprawl out of it but D keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Manchester manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Manchester connects with a high kick.
Manchester fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt D.
D keeps the fight on the outside.
Manchester moves in looking to clinch but D pushes him off.

D shoots in for a takedown but Manchester shows good takedown defense.

D manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Manchester on his heels. He'll look to pass Manchester's guard now, I'm sure.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Manchester bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in D's guard.

Manchester passes D's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Manchester is pressing down on D's thigh, looking to free his foot. D is holding on for now.

Manchester wants to stand but his hand is trapped. D uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Manchester postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Manchester is looking to stand up but D won't let him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

I would just about give that final round to Peter Manchester.
I've got Manchester winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
