PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gathii Kumanda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krisu Leepen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kumanda comes to the ring accompanied by Buffalo Soldier. Leepen has chosen The Prodigy - "Warriors Dance" as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Krisu Leepen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krisu Leepen!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big head kick from Kumanda and Leepen is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Leepen is rocked!

It looks like Krisu Leepen has been cut.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kumanda trying to control the position from guard on top but Leepen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Leepen is still in real trouble! Can Kumanda finish him?
Kumanda stops Leepen from standing up.

Kumanda gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Leepen swats away the attempt to clinch by Kumanda.
Kumanda looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Kumanda backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Leepen's temple! It sends Leepen violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Kumanda celebrates and the doctors try to help Leepen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Gathii Kumanda!
