The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass is looking to clinch.
The Underdog stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bass.
Bass displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Underdog.

Bass looking to score a takedown here. The Underdog is defending well but Bass drives through and ends up in The Underdog's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The Underdog is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Underdog looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The Underdog has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bass defend it? The Underdog steps over the head and cranks it - Bass is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for The Underdog!
