Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leo Barros is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Barros!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Barros stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Anderson.

Anderson is trying to control Barros's posture but Barros avoids it.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Anderson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Barros up against the cage.

Anderson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Barros pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Barros has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anderson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Anderson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Barros can't fight it off and eventually Anderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Barros looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Barros has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Barros.

Barros manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Anderson wants to get back to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Apollo Anderson.
I think Barros has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
