Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanislav Krauss! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jelek Anjing! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anjing tries to clinch there but Krauss circles away.
Anjing throws a low kick but it's checked well by Krauss. Anjing misses with a head kick.
Krauss looks to land a combination but Anjing avoids it well. Anjing misses with an uppercut. Anjing throws a low kick, looking for Krauss's leg but Krauss calmly moves out of range. Anjing tries to clinch there but Krauss circles away.
Krauss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Anjing.
Anjing throws a combination that misses and Krauss counters with a series of strikes. Anjing will be more careful next time no doubt. Anjing lands a glancing blow to the side of Krauss's head. Anjing throws a low kick but Krauss moves out of range easily. Anjing throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Anjing scores with a nice strike. Anjing bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anjing scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Anjing takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anjing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anjing takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Anjing has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Krauss throws a series of punches but Anjing moves out of range. A left and a right from Krauss both land. Nice combination. Anjing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krauss manages to avoid it. Anjing looks to land a combination. Krauss sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Krauss closes the distance and lands a one-two. Krauss moves out of range as Anjing strikes. Anjing fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Krauss, pushing him back against the cage. Anjing scores with a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anjing softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Krauss tries to score a body lock takedown but Anjing shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Anjing tries to land knees in the clinch but Krauss avoids the damage to the body. Krauss on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Krauss goes for a takedown attempt but Anjing pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anjing swinging wildly here.
Anjing misses with a left hand and Krauss counters with a three punch combo that has Anjing backing up. Anjing nods at Krauss to acknowledge the strikes. Krauss scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Anjing is rocked! Anjing on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Anjing is still on wobbly legs! Can Krauss finish him? Anjing wants to clinch. Krauss throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Krauss closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Anjing out cold! Anjing corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Stanislav Krauss! Stanislav Krauss retains his featherweight title!
