Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Podster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Maglayon!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maglayon tries to clinch up but Podster circles away and keeps his distance.
Maglayon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Podster was covering up waiting for the punch and Maglayon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Maglayon advances position into side control!
Podster is trying to get back to half guard.
Maglayon is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Podster is trying to escape and Maglayon transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Podster is forced to tap! Nice work there by Maglayon! Very nice indeed!
