Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Hagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jethro Gibbs! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Hagan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibbs looks to score with a jab to the body but Hagan is just out of range. Gibbs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hagan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gibbs looking to stall.
Gibbs manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hagan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gibbs pushes Hagan off and gets back to his feet.
Hagan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hagan is looking for a kimura but Gibbs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hagan to get the leverage. Hagan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gibbs moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gibbs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hagan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hagan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibbs trying to strike off his back.
Gibbs keeping moving, preventing Hagan from controlling successfully. Hagan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gibbs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gibbs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hagan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hagan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hagan has gone for a leg lock! Gibbs slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hagan's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gibbs trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hagan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbs stands up over Hagan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hagan trying to control the position.
Hagan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gibbs is controlling him. Gibbs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hagan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hagan has escaped and now he's on top! Hagan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Gibbs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hagan is fending him off so far but Gibbs persists. Nope, Hagan circles away and we're back to standing.

Hagan is looking to clinch. Hagan has a takedown stuffed. Gibbs tries to close the distance and clinch but Hagan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hagan shoots for a double leg takedown but Gibbs sprawls well. He's pushed Hagan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hagan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hagan looks gassed! Crunch! Hagan slams his shin into Gibbs's torso. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbs shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hagan as he avoids it easily. Gibbs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hagan is fending him off so far but Gibbs persists. Nope, Hagan circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jethro Gibbs will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hagan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gibbs. Jethro Gibbs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gibbs tries a head kick but it misses.
Gibbs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gibbs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hagan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hagan fails in his attempt to clinch. Hagan drives through with a takedown into Gibbs's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbs has his foot on Hagan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hagan works his way back into a safe position though. Hagan shoots in and drives through. Gibbs sprawls well. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hagan. Gibbs shrugs it off though. Hagan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jethro Gibbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Hagan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hagan manages to avoid it. Hagan fails with the takedown and Gibbs counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hagan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gibbs.

Hagan wants the takedown. Gibbs is fighting it off but Hagan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gibbs's guard against the cage. Hagan is looking to work some ground and pound but Gibbs has wrist control. Gibbs trying to strike off his back.

Gibbs lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hagan! The referee warns Hagan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gibbs is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hagan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gibbs lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Hagan hang on? As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hagan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jethro Gibbs will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Gibbs gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hagan regains guard.

Hagan looking for submissions off his back. Gibbs wants to take a breather but Hagan is having none of it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gibbs in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hagan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gibbs!
