Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Red Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Djimon Mahama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf comes into the arena with The Imperial March blaring out of the sound system. Djimon Mahama acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Wolf! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Djimon Mahama! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mahama takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mahama tries to clinch but Wolf is having none of it. Red Wolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mahama takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Djimon Mahama has been cut. Mahama closes the distance but Wolf moves to the side and Mahama takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice uppercut there from Wolf. Mahama walks into a jab. A slow jab from Mahama misses its intended target. Mahama takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mahama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wolf's half guard. Wolf on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wolf tries to get out of the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mahama is trying to work for a kimura but Wolf is defending well.
Mahama with the ground and pound but Wolf uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mahama drops back looking for a leg! Wolf is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wolf manages to kick Mahama off! Mahama jumps back into Wolf's guard. Mahama is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wolf is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wolf has escaped and now he's on top! Mahama looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mahama looking for a guillotine here but Wolf defends easily.
Mahama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wolf can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mahama had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wolf defends it easily. Mahama looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wolf passes into half guard.
Mahama is trying to stand up here but Wolf is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mahama wants to improve his position but Wolf is controlling well.
Mahama looking for submissions off his back. Mahama makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Wolf scores with a jab to the jaw. Mahama takes one on the button. Wolf is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Mahama takes one to the side of the head.
Red Wolf is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mahama takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mahama looks gassed! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wolf drops Mahama with a huge uppercut! Mahama drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Wolf is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Red Wolf! Red Wolf retains his featherweight title! A relieved looking Red Wolf thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
