Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ravel Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Shiffa!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shiffa avoids the head kick by Williams.
Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shiffa tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
Williams looks to land a right hand but Shiffa moved out of range.
Shiffa stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Shiffa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shiffa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Williams is positioning himself well to prevent Shiffa advancing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shiffa is just content to waste time from the top position. Williams takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Shiffa trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Williams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shiffa is one step ahead there.
Williams is adopting a defensive guard.
Shiffa stopping the sweep attempt from Williams.
Williams working for a triangle but Shiffa defends it easily.

Shiffa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Shiffa trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shiffa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shiffa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Shiffa wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jim Shiffa was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Williams jabs Shiffa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Shiffa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shiffa shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well.
Shiffa looks gassed!
Shiffa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ravel Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Shiffa.
Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Shiffa!
Williams is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Williams is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Shiffa is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Shiffa flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Williams anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Shiffa and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Williams slips an arm under Shiffa chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Williams has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Williams is squeezing on Shiffa like an anaconda would it's prey. Shiffa fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ravel Williams!
