Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Philo Beddoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kane Benga!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benga misses with a right hand
and Beddoe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Benga swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Benga misses with a two punch combination.
Benga fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Benga misses with a body shot.
A clash of legs there as Benga blocks the low kick.
Beddoe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Benga throws out the jab.
Benga takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Benga works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Benga catches Beddoe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Beddoe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Benga momentarily.
Benga fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Benga throws a hook to the side of Beddoe's head but Beddoe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kane Benga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beddoe has closed the distance and engaged Benga in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A body shot lands from Beddoe.
Benga is working for takedown but Beddoe is calmly controlling the position for now.
Beddoe tries to break free but Benga pushes him back against the cage.
Beddoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Benga swings widly with a right hand
and Beddoe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Benga! Beddoe lets Benga back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Benga is rocked!
It looks like Kane Benga has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Beddoe counters with a huge right that knocks Benga out cold! Beddoe is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Philo Beddoe!
After the fight, Philo Beddoe was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
