Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Murphy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Big pimpin Jay-Z. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Red! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy tries to keep at a distance but Red has taken the fight into the clinch. Murphy tries to break free but Red pushes him back against the cage. Red has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murphy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Red breaks the clinch.
Red shoots in and drives through. Murphy sprawls well. Red takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Joe Red has been cut. Murphy avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Red fails with an attempt to clinch.
Murphy throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Eric Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Red is looking to score with low kicks. Red shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Eric Murphy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Red. Red showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Murphy.
Red has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Murphy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy throws a push kick but Red slaps the foot to one side. Murphy fails to land with a series of punches.
Murphy moves out of range as Red strikes. Red throws a low kick but Murphy moves out of range easily. Murphy scores with a one two! Red had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Murphy throws a right hand that Red ducks under and follows up with a left that Red also avoids with ease. Murphy goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Red closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Murphy did well to prevent Red getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Red is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Red not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Red is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Murphy is just riding it out for now. Red eventually gives up the hold. Red is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Murphy is looking to control Red's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Murphy avoid being mounted? Red is just content to waste time from the top position. Murphy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Murphy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Red is looking to work some ground and pound but Murphy has wrist control. Red postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Red accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Red throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Murphy works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Red stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Red throws an elbow that misses. Murphy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Red's guard. Nice move by Murphy!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Red had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Murphy defends it easily. Red throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Red looking to control.
Red is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Murphy defends well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Red is looking to stand up but Murphy isn't so interested in that idea. Murphy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Red is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Red throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Red dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joe Red's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A left and a right from Murphy both land. Nice combination. Red fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Red drops his hands momentarily and Murphy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Murphy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Red moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Red shoots for a double leg takedown but Murphy sprawls well. He's pushed Red's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eric Murphy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Red tries to clinch there but Murphy circles away.

Murphy throws a nice looking combination but Red bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice uppercut lands for Murphy. That snapped Red's head back.

Murphy keeps Red at a distance using the push kick. Eric Murphy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Murphy scores with a leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murphy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Red looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Murphy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That has opened up Joe Red's cut even more. Murphy pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Murphy throws a series of punches but Red avoids them all with ease. Murphy misses with the combination.
A combination from Murphy does no damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Murphy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Red. Red connects with a good right hand that stumbles Murphy. Murphy circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Murphy lands with a cross. Murphy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Murphy throws a front kick that sends Red stumbling back into the cage. Murphy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Red shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Red looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Murphy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Red is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Murphy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Red. Red throwing shots but Murphy is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Red is working away from the top position though. Red tries to pass to full mount but Murphy defends it. Murphy tries to roll over but Red keeps him under control. Red sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Murphy defending well though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Red stalling. Red seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murphy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Murphy dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Joe Red's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Red tightens his grip and picks Murphy up, before dumping him to the ground. Murphy manages to land in guard. Red throwing strikes but missing. Murphy controls Red momentarily but Red frees himself. Murphy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Red working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Red drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Murphy dives on top into guard. Murphy throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Murphy is aware though and is defending well. Red utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Murphy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Red has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Red throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Murphy escapes and throws Red's legs to the side, diving into side control! Murphy throws a strike aimed at the side of Red's head but Red avoids it well. Murphy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Red sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Red is trying to control Murphy's posture but Murphy avoids it. Red bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Murphy throws a head kick that misses. A shot to the liver by Murphy. Beautiful body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Red rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murphy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Red with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Murphy to score with a decent uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Murphy takes a swing at Red's ribcage but misses. Red is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Murphy. Red avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Murphy connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Murphy scores with a kick to the body.
A combination from Murphy does no damage. Red is looking to clinch but Murphy is avoiding it.

Murphy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Murphy scores with a hook to the body. Red takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Red swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Murphy!
Murphy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Red throws a front kick aimed at Murphy's knee but Murphy avoids it well. Murphy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Red. That did some damage! Murphy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Red takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Danga de danga de dang - Murphy scores with a four punch combination! Red gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Murphy letting Red take a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Murphy is trying to break the clinch but Red is controlling him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Murphy misses with a shot to the kidneys.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Eric Murphy! A very excited looking Eric Murphy rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
