Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrek Scott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Purcell! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Purcell gets a takedown into half guard. Scott really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Scott is looking to get back to full guard here but Purcell has managed to pass to side control instead. Purcell punching from mount but Scott doing a good job of avoiding damage. Scott is wriggling around trying to escape.

Purcell unloads with some shots from mount but Scott bucks and avoids them well.
Purcell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Purcell looking to secure an arm triangle but Scott defends it well. Purcell prevents Scott from getting the reversal. Scott is working hard here to advance position. Scott throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Scott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Scott is squirming around, avoiding Purcell's attempts to control the action. Purcell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Scott looks a forlorn figure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Scott working to try and regain half guard.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Purcell on the ground. Purcell trying to control but Scott is having none of it. Scott is bucking up trying to escape but Purcell cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Purcell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Purcell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Scott's face.

He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Scott turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Purcell off and cradles Scott's limp body as Purcell celebrates with his corner.
