Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavalcante throws a right and a left that Vendo avoids nicely.
Cavalcante tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vendo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vendo seems to be working for a kimura but Cavalcante defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vendo is looking for a kimura but Cavalcante is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vendo to get the leverage.
Vendo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cavalcante defends it well.
Cavalcante tries to get to full guard but Vendo has control of the leg.

Vendo looks to land a strike but Cavalcante avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vendo.
