Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kendall!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Anton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall lands with a shot to the body.
Anton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kendall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anton moves away.
Kendall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anton stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kendall fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Anton shoots in for a double leg but Kendall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kendall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anton backs up against the cage.
It looks like Stephan Anton has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kendall lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Anton at a distance.
Anton has his takedown stuffed
and Kendall counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Chris Kendall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephan Anton.
Anton looks gassed!
Kendall dips to his left and cracks Anton with an uppercut!
Kendall scores with a decent looking hook.
Anton is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kendall is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Anton.
Kendall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kendall lands a big right hand that sends Anton crashing to the mat! Kendall stays standing though and waves Anton back to his feet!
Anton is rocked!
Kendall is looking to wear down Anton with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kendall flashes Anton a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Anton's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Anton crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Kendall punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Kendall!
