Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lontra Zocack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lontra Zocack could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mountain Rivera's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lontra Zocack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zocack missing with a left hand there. Rivera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Good leg kick by Rivera there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Zocack is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zocack throws a big shot that misses.
Rivera shoots for a double leg takedown but Zocack sprawls well. He's pushed Rivera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zocack is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rivera.
Zocack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zocack wants it to stay on the feet.
Rivera shoots for a double leg takedown but Zocack sprawls well. He's pushed Rivera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lontra Zocack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.
Rivera uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zocack.

Rivera is trying to drag Zocack to the mat but Zocack just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rivera jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Zocack manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Rivera is looking to take a break and control but Zocack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rivera tries for a kimura but Zocack is defending well.

Rivera scores with a couple of good head shots there.


It looks like Lontra Zocack has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rivera has hold of Zocack's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zocack manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rivera throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Rivera is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Zocack has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Rivera wants to control the pace but Zocack is squirming around nicely.
Zocack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zocack tries to get out of the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rivera takes the fight into the clinch.
Rivera tries to land knees in the clinch but Zocack avoids the damage to the body.
Zocack gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rivera.

Rivera has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Lontra Zocack wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Zocack lands a glancing blow to the side of Rivera's head.
Rivera has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zocack throws a lazy right hand but Rivera sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lontra Zocack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zocack swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Rivera with that takedown attempt.
Zocack stuffs the takedown.
Lontra Zocack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.

Rivera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zocack sprawls well initially but Rivera persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rivera in particular looking to stall.

Rivera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Mountain Rivera has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rivera shoots in for a takedown but Zocack shows good takedown defense.
Rivera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zocack.
Rivera fails to land the takedown.
Rivera is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zocack sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Zocack throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rivera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zocack!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rivera misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Mountain Rivera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Zocack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rivera missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rivera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rivera throws a big elbow that misses.

Zocack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rivera is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Zocack is looking to stand up but Rivera isn't so interested in that idea.
Rivera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mountain Rivera hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Lontra Zocack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zocack as he jumps to the side.

Rivera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice takedown defense from Zocack. No joy for Rivera on that attempt.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zocack sprawls well. Zocack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet.
Zocack keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rivera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zocack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rivera somewhat.
Zocack lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rivera slips a straight right by Zocack.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zocack looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Zocack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground.
Zocack seems a little lost for a moment, as Rivera dominates the positioning.
Lontra Zocack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rivera passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Zocack!
Mountain Rivera is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Mountain Rivera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rivera has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
