Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pablo Garza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcin Held! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Held misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Held fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Held has a takedown stuffed. Pablo Garza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcin Held. Garza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Held. Held scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Held wants to pass to mount but Garza is defending the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Garza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Garza trying to control but Held postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Held throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Garza looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Held tries to pass the half guard into mount. Garza knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Garza is trying to stand up here but Held is controlling him well. Held is keen to just control but Garza is a slippery customer. Held stops Garza from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Garza moves into full guard.
Held wants to control from the top but Garza keeps moving. Garza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Garza is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Garza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Held doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Held manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Held trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Held tries to free his leg and advance position but Garza is retaining full guard. Held has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Garza to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Held is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Garza pulls down on the head and he's put Held to sleep! This one is all over!
