Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ziggy Donovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Moneyshot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ziggy Donovan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Moneyshot!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donovan has closed the distance and engaged Moneyshot in a clinch.
Moneyshot wants to break the clinch but can't.
Moneyshot tries to circle away but Donovan has him pinned against the cage.
Donovan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Donovan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Donovan tries to clinch but Moneyshot is having none of it.
Moneyshot tries to bum rush Donovan with a series of wild strikes but Donovan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Moneyshot connects with a solid leg kick.

Donovan closes the distance and pushes Moneyshot back into the cage.

Donovan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Moneyshot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Donovan circles away quickly and effectively.
Donovan misses with a takedown attempt - Moneyshot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Moneyshot gets caught flat footed, as Donovan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Donovan wants to stand but Moneyshot has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Donovan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donovan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Ziggy Donovan has been cut.

Moneyshot gets caught napping as Donovan dives in and scores a takedown. Moneyshot manages to retain guard.
Donovan trying to control but Moneyshot is working from the bottom.
Donovan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Moneyshot is keeping the position for now.
Donovan throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Donovan wants to control from the top but Moneyshot keeps moving.
Donovan throwing strikes but missing.
Donovan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Donovan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Donovan wants to control from the top but Moneyshot keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ziggy Donovan wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Moneyshot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Donovan was well out of range. Poor timing from Moneyshot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Donovan tries for a takedown but Moneyshot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ziggy Donovan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Donovan dodges the punch combination from Moneyshot.
Donovan closes the distance and clinches up with Moneyshot, looking for a takedown. Donovan pushes Moneyshot against the cage but Moneyshot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Moneyshot swinging wildly here.

Moneyshot rushes Donovan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Moneyshot can't find room to land a body shot as Donovan controls the action.

Moneyshot wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Moneyshot fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Moneyshot tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Moneyshot has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Donovan has Moneyshot pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Moneyshot manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Donovan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moneyshot gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Donovan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Moneyshot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moneyshot keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Donovan.
A combination from Moneyshot does no damage.
Moneyshot moves into range and connects with a jab.
Johnny Moneyshot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Moneyshot is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
No luck for Donovan with that takedown attempt.
Donovan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Moneyshot lands with a straight right. Donovan didn't see that one coming.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moneyshot drops Donovan with a beautiful combination! Donovan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Moneyshot is looking for the KO!

Donovan is rocked!
Moneyshot tries to close the distance and clinch but Donovan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Donovan dodges the punch combination from Moneyshot.
Donovan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Moneyshot! Donovan is out on his feet! Moneyshot rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Donovan is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Donovan is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
